I was a wellsite geologist for Provident in October 2009 for their drilling program in the Anadarko basin. When I came aboard I thought that the money was certainly flying around. My overly generous salary and benefits should have been a clue. Because if something is too good to be true then it usually isn't. But we did drill a gangbuster gas well in Blaine County. The really weird thing as that nobody at the company was interested in producing the well and selling the gas. That was another clue to the fraud.
